The animals at the Franklin Park Zoo love their kindhearted caretaker, Griffin Keyes. Finding himself more comfortable with a lion than a lady, Griffin decides the only way to get a girl in his life is to leave the zoo and find a more glamorous job. The animals, in a panic, decide to break their time-honored code of silence ...more

“A few laughs and some cute talking animals are all that Zookeeper has to offer. While the juvenile story attracts kids, jokes make it an inappropriate watch for them.”

Dr. Do Little has met his match, Griffin Keyes. But the writers go one step further into making this movie stupider. The talking animals may amuse you only if you are less than 6 years old. For the rest of us, its just a dumb script with loud voice overs, ham scene after ham scene and a horrible screenplay.

Griffin Keyes, Kevin James, is the best zoo keeper the animals have ever had. He is kind and caring and takes care of each animal's individual needs. That is why when he has thoughts of leaving the zoo to please his long lost love, the animals get together to create a scheme to help Griffin get his lady back.

The plot is thin, the animals talking never seem cute, and it just goes overboard when Griffin passes off one of the gorillas as a person in a costume party. As if all this was not enough, Griffin suddenly realizes that he does not love the girl he was after for so long after all. Instead its his colleague, Kate whom he really loves. There is absolutely no chemistry between those two shown to convince the viewer. As far as the screenplay is concerned, the less the said about it is better. Its a sluggish paced, mind numbing affair.

Kevin James tries his level best to save the film on his own shoulders but in the end he cant save a sinking ship. The writers and director Frank Coraci are the real culprits for this downfall. Nick Bakay and Rock Reuben were responsible for writing the hit series "King of Queens" also starring Kevin James. But they fail to create even half the spark for this movie.

Overall a skipable movie, if ever there was any.

Reasons to watch:
1) If you are 6 years old.

Reasons to skip:
1) Boring screenplay
2) Loud comedy
3) Stupid story, panchatantra is better than this

Repeat value: "Koi chance Nai"
