I watched the movie because of all the hype. I wanted to see what was the big deal. The book had always been on my to-read list.

Overall I enjoyed the movie. It was sweet, funny and cute. Much more than Noah Centineo, I liked Israel Broussard - one played Peter and the other played Josh. The second time I watched the movie while reading the novel, I liked Peter more.

Never judge a book by the movie. The movie has left out so so much. It's like watching an unedited version when I read.

Lara Jean is a quirky , sweet teenager who only wants a real boyfriend. The boy she wants turns out to be her sister’s ex. The Song sisters share a close bond and cannot live without one another. When the 5 secret love letters she writes gets sent out, she is afraid of facing Josh - her sister's ex. She pretends to be in love with Peter Kavinsky to mislead Josh. Peter is up for this plan to make his ex-girlfriend and Lara Jean's nemesis jealous.

What starts out as a fake relationship, leaves Lara Jean thinking what would it be like if it was real?
The cast is great. I liked Lara Jean’s best friend Chirs’s style a lot. She has this free spirit and she is funny. Lucas, another recipient of a love letter, has a small role to play but it makes such a impact. He says the right things to LJ and makes her realize what she realty feels.
The ending was perfect. Peter does this thing where he gives LJ notes every day. That counts as Goals!
