Verdict - It' all about Pretty lifeguards, picturesque locations and an attractive villain.

Seth Gordon's remake of the 90's popular TV show of the same name was one of the most awaited films of the year, especially for Priyanka fans in India. Much like the TV series, the movie is about extremely attractive bunch of lifeguards who claim that it's their bay and they shall protect it. It's an action- comedy where the writers have tried to make every scene funny.

The ladies in the movie have no job but to look good and run in slow motion on the beach in their half zipped red swimsuits. Except Priyanka Chopra doesn't wear a swim suit, but sexy silk gowns that signify her villainous status.

Mitch (Dwayne Johnson) is the head of the team, who thinks their job is more than just saving drowning people but prevent any other heinous crime at the bay. His team has 2 lady lifeguards and 3 trainees, including Matt Brody (Zac Effron). Matt is an alcohol addict, who was a previous gold medal champion in swimming, but is now, looking for a new job.

Their Bay is in trouble when Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra) enters the scene, as the new owner of the resort. She smuggles drugs and is trying to privatize the bay under her name.

Mitch discovers this, and he along with his team decide to go undercover to stop the smuggle. The best lifeguards of the bay, don't want to their job but want to solve crimes, because duh, the movie is about Lifeguards why would they involve cops at all.

The chemistry between Zac and Dwayne is amazing, the other character were nothing but props in the movie.

Many scenes in the movie also seemed unnecessary, like the one from the trailer where Zac is wearing a dress. We hope to see something really funny but nothing happens at all. The scene starts, Mitch makes fun of him, they find what they are looking for and then the scene ends. No one stops to look that there is a muscular woman in their kitchen, nor do they get caught, all it did was stress that Zac's character was stupid, which had been confirmed multiple times prior to that scene.

The movie is only a disgrace to it's source. Just pretty life guards, picturesque locations and an attractive villain. Definitely nothing more than a one-time watch.
