Blood Diamond revolves around a fisherman, a smuggler, and a syndicate of businessmen who match wits over the possession of a priceless diamond. The direction of Edward Zwick is worth praise. The movie raises a political issue. It shows a country torn apart by the struggle between government soldiers and rebel forces (Sierra Leone Civil War, 1999). It portrays the disturbances between people, rebels and how Government is helpless in making improvements. Leonardo Dicaprio has done a brilliant job in his act, giving one of his best performance. Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou are impressive as well. The movie will definitely stir you up. So my opinion will be to must go for it. Very well executed war drama. less
