Verdict - What a sharp thriller from a family of supers ! miss this one and you missed the best family movie of the summer !
Thank you Hollywood , having suffered an epic 3D torture last week from Bollywood. This one is every paisa worth movie. I have always believed that the animation genre from Hollywood outdoes everything the real character cinema offers us . Incredibles 2 is another addition to the long list of gems that Hollywood has dished out in the past in the animation genre.
The story continues from where it left us in the first part 14 years ago – yeah the first part is that old and we still remember them. So the supers are having typical problems , kids finding it difficult to adjust, superheroes declared illegal by the new powers that be .
Till a brother sister duo of a tech firm arrive to the rescue of the supers. The story has a twist and a very interesting one where the father gets to take care of the home and elastic girl takes charge of clearing the names of the superheroes.
The road to redemption faces a stumbling block when someone stabs the super heroes in the back and turns them evil.
In an epic climax which has a speeding ocean liner threatening to hit the city all supers come together to fight and save the day. The climax is a solid racy entertainer.
The show stopper of the movie is Jack Jack the pint size super is a bundle of superpowers and you don’t know which superpower from him will hit you next.
Incredibles has its own moments in a normal family a mom misses it big time if she cannot see her baby walk the first time here she rues the fact that she missed her baby displaying his first superpower to the world.
Incredible has one liners , a screenplay that moves in 8th gear. This 107 odd minute movie moves and finishes itself that you feel it was just half an hour and you wanted more.
Sure animation makes execution easy but the director deserves a huge kudos for the action scenes particularly the one that involves elastic girl and the speeding train. You will love the lady when she drives the bike.
This bigger thing that director achieves is he keeps the emotional connect with the supers intact while delivering a racy thriller.
Miss this one and you have missed the best movie of last 4 weeks. Period. 4 stars.
