Just Go With ItWatch trailerRelease date : April 08, 2011

Last few weeks have been physically exhausting. In the same week travelling from Mohali to Bombay, nights of no sleep, celebrations, its been WILD. And for the longest time I have just been waiting to go and sit myself down in a theatre, sink into my seat, and just watch someone else play out their lives. I was thinking of watching Game last weekend, but with tickets to the ultimate Game (the finals) and terrible reviews for the movie I gave it a skip. So when the invitation came in for Just Go With It yesterday, I jumped at it.

I am not an Adam Sandler fan and after Friends Jennifer Aniston doesnt do anything for me so to be honest I wasnt too psyched for this one. Chick flicks are also not too much my thing anymore. They are usually predictable, with sappy lines, and all the lovey-dovey-ness just doesnt work for me, usually. Anyways, the story went something like this: Adam Sandler, always on the look out for a good lay and wears this wedding ring which apparently attracts all the hottest women in town. They all fall for the Oh you poor guy, stuck in a bad marriage, let me comfort you type spiel. Jennifer Aniston is his assistant (he is a plastic surgeon). She is a single mother of 2 adorable kids (I usually two like kids but these ones were exceptional, but then I guess everything is in a chick flick). Anyways so Sandler falls for this hot twenty something school teacher who still loves NSync and she freaks when she finds out he is married (which he isnt). So to keep the relationship going, he convinces Aniston to be his pretend wife and plays pretend daddy to her two kids. I dont need to spell the rest out for you.

Anyways so I walked in with no expectations. The acting was average and the film was predictable. But then I decided to just Go with it! Ended up having a great time, laughed at quite a few moments, and walked out wondering where my Mr. Right is, like most teenage girls would have. I dont know if it was the movie or the whole experience. After weeks, being out with a girl friend, no cricket, no screaming, no tension. An afternoon with some great lunch, shopping and then a rom-com was something I really needed. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a mani/pedi while sipping on margaritas but you can't have everything.

So is this movie for everyone? NO! Noway. If you decide to go you must fit the same state of mind I was in. Go with absolutely no expectations, if you are a girl, dont take a boy with you, he will probably hate you for making you sit through the film, plus the IPL is starting this weekend anyways. So after your day at the spa, lunch, shopping, if you are looking to relax with some mindless semi-comedy, this one is for you.
