Gary Ross’s Ocean’s Eight is comedy heist movie. Debbie Ocean a con-woman who has recently been released from the prison after serving 5 years. She takes in her words “5 years, 8 months and 12 days” to plan the biggest heist of her life on the night of Met Gala.
Once released she starts building up her team of eight women who will help her pull off this heist. Their goal is to steal the ‘150 million dollars one of kind Cartier diamond necklace’ which has been locked in a safe vault underground.
The film then proceeds with how these women with a different talent to their account, come up together to pull of the heist. The movie is a perfect for a binge night alone or with friends. It is a well made movie overall with the well played out plan unfolding perfectly in front of the audience.
The audience is stays glued to till the end of the movie to see the perfectly planned out crime unfold layer by layer with each player playing their part in the heist to perfection. With a surprise element in the end in the form of unplanned recruit makes the audience know the ending but still stick around just to see how the last piece in the jigsaw puzzle is placed perfectly.
The highlight of the movie isn’t in the mystery, whether the plan will be executed flawlessly or not. But rather in, how will this complicated plan be executed. It leaves the audience thinking about the sheer execution of the plan way after the movie ends.

First of all, if this team was taking in recruits, I would have auditioned. IRL! This is the dream team you see and want to be a part of. The movie begins with Debbie Ocean getting out of Prison after getting charged for a crime she wasn't a part of, thanks to her ex-boyfriend.
Five years, eight months, 12 days and counting that's how long she took to put together a plan to steal a particular necklace. With the help of her friend Lou, they put together a team of women that are perfect for the job. Sandra Bullock, Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson. Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham and Nora Lum a.k.a Awkwafina - Ocean's 8.
This movie is a one-time watch unless you are a sucker RiRi's personality. She doesn't talk much yet she has such a huge effect, like she's in a scene you can't take your eyes off her. Definitely one reason why I went to see this film. The Heist is smartly put together. There are risks to be taken and sacrifices are made, but does the plan actually work out in the end? You gotta see. Sandra Bullock plays the role of the mastermind and it is pretty awesome. She has a family history of Conning people.
James Corden makes an appearance towards the end and he is hilarious. I would want to point out that the two twists towards the end are great but the movie feels like it stretched a bit. It could’ve just ended but it felt dragged to me.
There are many versions of such con movies, but this is the only one I`ve seen so far. The cast was great, the story line was good. There are jokes thrown in here and there, RiRi has a killer attitude. It’s a good movie and I recommend this.

Ladies, this is it. Gentlemen, listen up. Down the years, Ocean’s 8 will be one of those must-watch movies that become icebreakers at a dinner party. Neat, funny and filled to the brim with outfit inspirations for every mood your mind has ever occupied, this multi-starrer is about a group of women who come together to pull off a jewellery heist during one of New York City’s biggest events, the Met Gala. The team, led by Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, is not only suave but also highly skilled and unstoppable. They prove that women can do anything men can, and mostly, they’re just as good, if not better. The screenplay is taut, the pace is quick and the chemistry is crackling, accentuated by the music – booming of the New York swagger we all love to see on the big screen. The humour is often subtle, so one actually has to pay close attention to the dialogues and not just wait for a cue to laugh. Many will argue that there isn’t much originality in the film because it follows the same pattern as a previous hit franchise. However, what should be viewed in the film is its ability to hold attention as a stand-alone story. If you’re willing to leave all biases behind, you’ll actually enjoy seeing the freshness of women robbing pretty things, at the biggest fashion event in the world. Additionally, many things about the movie are important to imbibe. If there’s anything that The Times We Live In will be remembered for, it’ll be the inclusion.

Having a loaded Star cast is one thing but leveraging and getting the best out of them is another, felt the director could have done more justice to the huge chunks of money spent. Completely female orientated cast was indeed a pleasant surprise and surely score a brownie point just for this.
At various intervals, the maker did manage to keep the audience enthralled by intelligently placing different characters right from a con woman to a street magician. As soon the movie was over, felt that the suspense which the director was purposefully building up could not deliver the desired results. It gave a feeling that probably the team worked so hard on stitching the script that it fell short of gas with the ending.
Overall given the people involved with it and the brand image, it was a little disappointing.

People will love to watch the movie. The way the team execute the plan is good. Each role played by the cast is unexpected and is good. Sandra Bullock and Rihanna both are awesome. There is something missing in it as compared to the Ocean's trilogy. It is an interesting movie overall though.
