Robert Rodriguez started his movie making with action/adventure sort of movies and then tried his hands on family movies with Spy Kids. After giving a trilogy, Rodriguez is back with the 4th edition of Spy Kids. The most intelligent thing that Rodriguez did with this version is the fact that 'All the time in the world' is not a mere continuation of original spy kids but also a sort of reboot.

You will see Juni and Carmen all grown up and in this edition the movie focuses on other family of spies with mom Jessica Alba, dad Joel McHale and two new spy kids Rebecca Wilson and Cecil Wilson. The plot development is brilliant as in the beginning you won't be able to make out that will this be a serious one or a comedy one. Later on the movie gets exciting and humorous making the original one feel honoured.

Speaking of performances, the two new kiddos are the old players of entertainment industry and this newness added freshness to this version. Their role play is correct and totally in line with what was needed. Joel Mchale as Wilbur was good with brilliant comic timings. Jessica Alba as Marissa was amazing as Spy Mom but the show stopper was Argonaut, a family pet dog with voice over by Ricky Geravis. Argonaut is a Robo Dog and carries the plot of the film wonderfully without looking out of place at any moment.

Movie is shot mostly in Austin, Texas with beautiful backdrop suiting the tone of the movie. Another point where Spy Kids 4 gets full marks is the cinematography which is the right blend of CGI shots and live shots & picture perfect chase sequences. The movie in totality is so engaging that you won't bother to analyse whether this real is Computer generated Imagery or a real shot. Adding 3rd Dimension added to the intensity of the shots making them look amazing on screen. I personally saw the 4D version of Spy Kids 4 with sniff and scratch card. The 4th Dimension was like a cherry on top and complimented the movie even more, making it an enjoyable and superb experience.

Footer: Try catching this one in 4D if not then 3D is must.
