Underworld: Blood WarsWatch trailerRelease date : December 02, 2016

The Underworld series is an enigma of sorts. A stellar cast, click CGI, and great cinematography matched with the corniest of settings, with a plot that often makes you grin with sheer absurdity of it. Oh and Kate Beckinsale kicking ass is no small draw either. The best part is that every dialogue, every facial expression, every cliche is delivered with the utmost seriousness that belies a movie of this type. Lara Pulver in particular is absolutely fantastic as the Vamp Vampire (I'm sorry). It's an impossible task to outshine Kate Beckinsale in an Underworld movie, but she just about manages to do it. All the better for us fans.

Selene, noted Death Dealer (A vampire warrior-assassin of sorts) is on the run with David, from her vampire kin and Lycans alike. The Lycans, led by Marius, an impossibly strong werewolf is decimating vampire strongholds all over. However, even his mighty army, he doesn't have the force necessary to take their coven. He needs the blood of Selene's daughter, which can make lycans far stronger. Luckily, Selene sent her away without knowing where she'd be going so that nobody could ever get it out of her. Meanwhile, Selene has seemingly been pardoned for her 'crimes' by the vampire coven, on condition of her training the younger vampires to fight better. This deal was pushed through by Semira, but no one knows why.

Underworld : Blood Wars, like the previous 3 is one for the fans. If you happen to be one of them, you'll find lots to like it. The series continues its tradition of Kate Beckinsale kicking ass in style with a barebones plot, but that shouldn't deter you. However, if you haven't watched the series before, it's best to watch the originals to see if you can deal with the suspension of disbelief this movie requires of you.
