Its so cute when somebody makes a film for young people of ages Zero-8. All the characters are chubby and loveable, there are bright colors all around and lots of good things to learn. Like stealing is bad, nature is good, mayors are evil, and rangers are nice-at-heart.

Yogi Bear is a chronic food-snatching bear at the Jellystone National Park. His naughty side is complemented by his sweet sidekick BooBoo. The park is also a home to Ranger Smith, who is a doofus for all practical purposes. Soon we meet a documentary film maker Rachel (Scary Movie girl Anna Faris, from now on who will be referred to as SMG) who wants to shoot (from the camera) Yogi's antics as he is the only talking bear who wears a hat and a tie. The Mayor of the city, who is a bigger doofus than the rangers hatches an evil plan to close the park down, roping in Smith's sidekick Ranger Jones into the scheme. The rest is left for the audience to watch.

Since all the actors (Both the rangers, SMG and the Mayor plus sidekick) had to act stupid, they are looking quite real and believable as not much work had to be done for the role. SMG hams through the role on the basis of her previous work in the Scary Movie franchise talking about how wierd it is when she wants to scratch a person's belly et al. The film has a lot of funny moments which are amateurish as it is targeted towards kids. Adults will find it to be a more extravagant version of Tele-tubbies.

You better swap your popcorn for some Cerelac to go with this bachha - party flick. Best suited for young parents who will draw satisfaction from the giggles of their offspring.
