Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Chhaava is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film depicts the real-life story of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji. Adding more buzz to the release of the film, the makers of Chhaava shared the first poster showcasing Rashmika Mandanna’s look from the film. For those unaware, Rashmika will be essaying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s wife Yesubai Bhonsale.

Taking to Instagram, the makers of Chhaava shared the first look of Rashmika Mandanna from the film, dressed as Yesubai Bhonsale. The makers captioned the post, “Behind every great king, there stands a queen of unmatched strength. Introducing @rashmika_mandanna as Maharani Yesubai - the pride of Swarajya. #ChhaavaTrailer Out Tomorrow! Releasing in cinemas on 14th February 2025.”
The poster showcases Rashmika wearing a traditional golden and green coloured saree, paired with multiple gold necklaces, a matching choker and a nath. The look is complemented with kajal in her eyes and a red bindi. The poster introduces Rashmika as Yesubai Bhonsale. The actress looks ethereal and elegant in the image. The second image features Rashmika wearing a bright traditional red saree.
Chhaava is directed by Laxman Utekar, while it is backed by Dinesh Vijan. Produced by Maddock Films, Chhaava will hit the theatres on February 14. After the poster was unveiled, Rashmika’s fans expressed their excitement for the upcoming film on social media. One user wrote, “Another blockbuster for Rashmika on the way!,” while another commented, “Uffffff kya look he :) it's beautiful.”
More details about Chhaava
For those unaware, Chhaava was initially supposed to release on December 6, 2024, but the makers postponed the release date of the film to avoid a box office clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. Helmed by Laxman Utekar, Chaava stars Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. The film is based on popular Marathi novel Chhaava by Shivaji Sawant which tells the life story of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji.
