The much-awaited Bigg Boss 18’s grand finale just got through a couple of days back. For the unversed, the grand finale was a tough fight between two of the most loved contestants of the show. While on one hand, there was Vivian Dsena and, on the other hand, there was Karan Veer Mehra, who was fresh from the success of being a winner in the Rohit Shetty hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Just like any other grand finale, this season’s episode also saw the presence of a few stars who had come to grace the ‘grand occasion’. With their film Sky Force all set to be released, the show’s makers had got Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya as the celebrity guests on the show. While Veer Pahariya stayed back till the end of the show, Akshay Kumar made an early exit, which, in no time, led to lots of rumours about the reason for him to leave the show immediately.
Akshay Kumar, in a recent press conference which was held in Delhi for his film Sky Force, chose to put an end to all the (baseless) rumors about the reason for him to make an early exit from the sets of Bigg Boss 18’s grand finale. On his part, Akshay Kumar said, “He was not that late. I had reached, yeah, he came a little bit late because he had some personal work. And then we spoke about it, and he told me that he was late about thirty-five to forty minutes late. And what happened that I had to leave. So, then we spoke about it, and I left, but Veer was there, so he shot with him."
On the other hand, it was amid the grand finale that even Salman Khan had acknowledged Akshay Kumar’s absence. Salman Khan said, “Akki was here to promote his film, but I got delayed. He had other commitments and had to leave”.
As for the grand finale of Bigg Boss 18, while Karan Veer Mehra went onto become the ultimate winner and took home the title as well as the cash reward of Rs. 50 lakhs, there was Vivian Dsena who became the first runner up. Besides them, there was Rajat Dalal who went on to become the second runner-up.
