Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan's character to be deeply impacted by this tragic incident from the 90's?

Aamir Khan ’s Laal Singh Chaddha is inevitably one of the most-awaited films of this year. The movie is scheduled to release on August 11 this year and also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role. Now, the latest development surrounding the same suggests that the movie will explore the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition incident.

Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi remake of the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump . The original 1994 film had Tom Hank’s character having a deep impact on some key incidents in American history. Similarly, the Hindi remake will have Aamir Khan’s character exploring some big incidents in Indian history which inevitably include the Babri Masjid incident.

According to a news report in BollywoodLife, a source revealed to the portal that Aamir Khan’s character arc will be heavily impacted due to the Babri Masjid fiasco. The report further mentioned that the actor’s character will change significantly or have a profound impact while passing through these important events in Indian history. It was earlier reported that Laal Singh Chaddha will also explore the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic which grappled the country during the summer of 2020.

Meanwhile, Laal Singh Chaddha was originally supposed to be released on April 14 but was rescheduled to August 2022. While fans thought that the main reason behind this was to avert the movie’s clash with Yash ’s KGF : Chapter 2 and Vijay starrer Beast, Aamir Khan’s production house confirmed that it was because of a major chunk of the movie was not completed. Their statement read, “This is to announce that our film, Laal Singh Chaddha, will not be releasing on 14th April as planned. This is because we are unable to complete the film in time. The film will now be released on 11 Aug 2022 in theatres worldwide.”

The movie has been helmed by Advait Chandan. It also marks the Bollywood debut of South sensation Naga Chaitanya. The original movie was helmed by Robert Zemeckis.
