Aashiqui 3: Forget Jennifer Winget, Deepika Padukone here's a 'dhamakedar' offer from an actor Kartik Aaryan can't refuse

Ever since Vishesh Films announced Kartik Aaryan ’s entry into the Aashiqui franchise the internet can’t keep calm. As the announcement about the leading lady of Aashiqui 3 is still awaited, it has been speculations galore on social media and now in an interesting twist to the tale, actor Gulshan Devaiah has offered himself up for the position.

Gulshan’s reaction came after clarifications were made by the producers of Aashiqui 3 that no leading lady has been finalised for the project yet to star opposite Kartik. Striking gold at the opportunity, Gulshan wrote on Twitter, “I offer myself for the position of “Leading Lady” Dhamaka kardenge dono bhai milke pichchar mey likhk ke le loh 😎”

Names of several actresses cropped up who are rumoured to be in the running for Aashiqui 3 which included Jennifer Winget, Sharaddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kriti Sanon. Clearly people have gone far with their creative imagination as far as the casting of the project is concerned, however, Gulshan’s offer is the one that has got some of the best reactions so far.

Fans were left surprised on Monday as Aashiqui 3 was announced out of the blue after being on the backburner for years. The film will the third Bollywood remake of Hollywood’s The Fault In Our Stars, the first of which, Aashiqui, starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal released in 1990 and was blockbuster. Aashiqui 2 arrived in 2013 with Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead and helped them turn a new leaf in their careers.

Aashiqui 3 was later announced in 2016 with Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in the lead but the project never took off. Furthermore, Sidharth and Alia’s break up an year later effectively put an end to their on screen pairing as well.

Kartik’s arrival has now given a new lease of life to the film and recent reports suggest that the makers plan to cast a fresh face opposite the star.
