If the ongoing media reports (read ‘speculative reports’) are to be believed, then, the last few months have not been great at the Bachchan household, as far as Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is concerned. One may call it as a ‘buzz’ or a rumour or a speculation, but all the roads lead to one thing which indicates the marital discord between Abhishek Bachchan and his wife Aishwarya Rai.
Both Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been making headlines about their relationship status for some time now, although there has been no official clarification of any sort from anyone. The latest on the same front happens to be Abhishek Bachchan ‘liking’ a post on social media.
‘Liking’ a post on social media is in no way an indication of any discrepancies in the marital life. But, because Abhishek Bachchan ‘liked’ a post on Instagram which spoke about divorce. For the unversed and curious mind, the said post (which actually had triggered the whole thing), actually addressed the topic of divorce.
To elaborate the said post furthermore, it read as, ‘Why love stops being easy. Couples who have been married for long are now parting ways. What has prompted their decision and why are grey divorces on the rise? Divorce is never easy for anyone. Who doesn't dream of a happily ever after or envision recreating those heart-warming videos of elderly couples holding hands as they cross the street?’.
The said post also stated that, sometimes life doesn't unfold as we hoped, but how do people cope when they separate after decades together, after spending a significant portion of their lives relying on each other for both big and small things. It also spoke about ‘grey divorces' or ‘silver splitters', which happens to be a term used for those seeking marital separation after the age of 50 years!
Looking back, both Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married in 2007 in a grand wedding which was superstar Amitabh Bachchan's iconic and signature bungalow 'Prateeksha', which is located in Juhu. The couple also welcomed their first child Aaradhya in November 2011.
Looking back, both Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had starred in a bunch of films including Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Naa Kaho, Umrao Jaan, Dhoom 2 and Guru.
