After Vikram, Suriya and Rashmika Mandanna contribute to the Wayanad Landslide Relief Fund
Several Kollywood stars have come forward to help the victims of the recent Wayanad landslide tragedy.

Following the devastating landslide that struck the Mundakka region of Kerala's Wayanad district earlier this week, many celebrities have been doing their bit to help out. Tamil actor and Thangalaan star Vikram had extended his support to the state government's efforts to rebuild the landslide-affected area and rehabilitate survivors by donating Rs 20 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund. Vikram expressed his sorrow and shock over the tragedy in Wayanad.
Joining him are several other celebrities across film industries. The latest celebrity to contribute to the relief fund in Kerala is none other than actor Suriya. The actor, wife Jyothika and brother Karthi have collectively donated Rs 50 lakh to the Distress Relief Fund.
Suriya also expressed shock over the tragedy in a tweet that read, “My thoughts and prayers are with the families... Heartbreaking! Respect to all members of government agencies and people on the field helping the families with rescue operations.”
Pushpa 2 actress Rashmika Mandanna is also reported to have donated ₹10 lakh to the Kerala relief fund.
Other celebrities join hands to appeal for help
Earlier, Tamil superstar and TVK president Thalapathy Vijay requested that the Kerala government do whatever is required to help the landslide victims.
“Deeply saddened on hearing the tragic news of the landslide in #Wayanad, #Kerala. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. Request the government authorities to provide the necessary rescue and relief measures on a war footing,” he wrote on his X page.
Malayalam superstar Mammootty made a significant contribution through his charitable trust, which is actively involved in delivering essential supplies to those affected by the tragedy. The megastar’s charitable trust sent a convoy to Wayanad carrying necessities such as food, medicines, clothes, and other essentials required by the survivors.
Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil actress Nikhila Vimal joined volunteers in the relief operations. A viral video of her helping other volunteers pack and dispatch essentials to the landslide victims has been circulating widely on social media.
Several stars from across industries have been proactive in spreading the word to help the victims affected by the Kerala landslide tragedy.
