Ahan Shetty reveals Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul aren't even engaged yet as rumours of their December wedding go viral

It hasn’t been long since Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul came out in the open with their relationship and rumours of their wedding are already doing the rounds. Several reports claimed that the couple will be tying the knot in December this year.

The most recent reports claimed that Athiya’s Suniel Shetty is rather emotional about the upcoming wedding and has already begun booking hotels, caterers and planning the whole grand affair.

However, Athiya’s brother Ahan Shetty has now commented on the rumours of her marrying KL Rahul this December and said that no arrangements are being made and no ceremony is being planned at home.

He told Dainik Bhaskar in an interview, “As far as the wedding is concerned, there are no arrangements being made. There is no such ceremony, these are all rumours. When there is no wedding, how can we give you a date?"

"Engagement bhi nahi hui hai. Haal filhaal uski bhi koi planning nahi hai (There has been no engagement and there is no such plan in the near future.) There is no planning for a wedding in the next few months as well,” Ahan added.

It was at the special screening of Ahan’s debut film Tadap last year that KL Rahul and Athiya made their first red carpet appearance together and confirmed the long standing speculations of their relationship. KL Rahul also posed with Athiya’s whole family at the screening.

The couple has been going out for over two years and several of their social media posts first gave their fans an indication about their relationship.

Athiya has accompanied the cricketer on many international tournaments and has also been reportedly listed by him as his partner. Last year, several pictures of them also went viral from England where KL Rahul was for a tournament with the Indian cricket team.

They were also briefly accompanied by Ahan who joined them for a holiday.
