    One of the best action directors of the film industry, late Veeru Devgan was born on June 25, 1934. He left a huge void in Bollywood after he passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 84 on May 27, 2019. As today marks his 87th birth anniversary, his son and actor Ajay Devgn shared an endearing note on social media.

    Taking to Instagram, Ajay posted a smiling picture of his late father and penned a heartfelt note in his remembrance. “I could never beat his smile... Happy Birthday, Papa,” he wrote and dropped a red heart emoji. Soon after, fans showered love on the post, actor Abhishek Bachchan also reacted to Ajay's post.

    For the unversed, it was his father Veeru Devgan, who kickstarted Ajay’s career as a hero with the film Phool Aur Kaante . The actor found a lot of inspiration in his father, who helped him reach heights over the decades in Hindi cinema. Previously on his death anniversary, the Singham actor had shared a montage of throwback pictures and recalled the memories of his father.

    Earlier, Ajay remembered his father on the occasion of Father’s Day. He found a deep connection with his father in the picture of himself with his son Yug that he dropped on social media. In the picture, Yug is peeping from the back of a camera, while Ajay is checking whether the shot is okay or not. “It's moments like these that take me back to the days when Papa used to be the one behind the camera as I curiously peeked from the sides. Trying to absorb his love for filmmaking as much as I could, ” he captioned the post. Have a look:
