Akshay Kumar reunites with Priyadarshan after 14 years for new horror-comedy titled Bhooth Bangla | FIRST LOOK OUT
Akshay Kumar, who is celebrating his 57th birthday today, September 9, 2024, has announced his next film with Priyadarshan. The iconic actor-director duo has teamed up for Bhooth Bangla.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is celebrating his 57th birthday today, announced his latest reunion with Priyadarshan. The duo has teamed up for another horror-comedy titled Bhooth Bangla after 14 long years. A while ago, Akshay took to social media and announced the film which will release in 2025.

Taking to Instagram, Akshay shared a motion poster of his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla which is a collaboration with director Priyadarshan. The motion poster features Akshay drinking milk from a bowl, wearing a navy blue suit while a black cat is standing on his shoulder. The gothic background features an old house.
Akshay captioned the post, “Thank you for your love on my birthday, year after year! Celebrating this year with the first look of ‘Bhooth Bangla’! I’m beyond excited to join forces with Priyadarshan again after 14 years. This dream collaboration has been a long time coming… can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you all. Stay tuned for the magic!”

Helmed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla starring Akshay Kumar is backed by Shobha and Ektaa Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms in association with Cape of Good Films. The film will release in 2025. Priyadarshan and Akshay have previously collaborated on films like Khatta Meetha, De Dana Dan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Bhagam Bhag.
Hinting at the special announcement, Akshay had shared a mysterious post on his social media handle on September 8 featuring a metallic face set against a backdrop of regal red cloth. He captioned the post, “Ganpati Bappa Morya! What could be better than a day like today to hint at something special coming your way? The reveal is set for my birthday. Stay tuned!”
Khiladi Kumar was last seen in comedy-drama film Khel Khel Mein which tanked at the box office. Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, the film starred Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk and Fardeen Khan in key roles.
