Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have THIS name for their daughter, reveal it's beautiful significance

Ever since Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their first child, a baby girl, their fans were waiting with bated breath to know her name. Finally, the wait is over as the couple has revealed their little girl’s name and we bet it is divine. Taking to her social media handle, Alia shared her first family picture which has her husband Ranbir and the little one. And she announced her daughter has been named Raha by her grandmother Neetu Kapoor.

On Thursday (November 24), Alia shared the photo which has also a framed football T-shirt and shorts with Raha written on it, which is hung on the wall. Sharing the significance of the name in all possible languages, the actress wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. (sic).”

She further added,” And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! (red heart emoji)Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. (sunshine emojis).” Soon after her post, Alia’s sister-in-law and actress Kareena Kapoor khan dropped a lovely comment that read, “ Raha Kapoor can I hold you (red heart emoji)can’t wait (red heart emoji)” Also Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, and Sonakshi Sinha also dropped heart emojis in the comment section.

Meanwhile, it was on November 6 that Alia and Ranbir announced the arrival of their baby girl. "And in the best news of our lives :- Our baby is here... and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir (sic)," they captioned the announcement post. Well, we loved the name of little Kapoor, isn’t it adorable!!
