Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is thriving in her personal as well as professional life with 2022 proving to be one of the most exciting years for her! She tied the nuptial knot with Ranbir Kapoor, is expecting her first child and also wrapped her first ever Hollywood film Heart Of Stone , helmed by Tom Harper, co-starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. At the moment, the beauty is basking in her pregnancy glow as she promotes her next film Darlings, which also marks her debut as a producer.

In a chat with Variety she had shared that shooting her first action film Heart Of Stone during pregnancy was not easy as she had many layers to deal with. Well, recently when Alia graced Express Adda as the chief guest, she revealed, “I didn't have to put on an accent, I am not wearing some ethnic patchwork clothes because I am a chick from India. Everybody wants India, Hollywood wants a part of India.” Alia also opened up about her blockbuster hit film Gangubai Kathiawadi .

Directed by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film gave us yet another look at her versatility as a performer. The actress called it her most challenging role. She explained, “I knew I had to play her completely from the heart, but I also had to play it from the frontfoot, because we were also trying to make it entertaining. Because we wanted her to reach a larger audience, and that is very hard.”

In Darlings, Alia as well as her co-stars Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma tackle the subject of domestic violence. While the concept is heavy, their approach is humorous with a dark side to it. Exciting and fresh! We wish Alia and her team all the best as we eagerly wait to see yet another magnificent performance.
