Alia Bhatt to tie the knot with beau Ranbir Kapoor in October, not April? Here’s what we know

Other than making headlines thanks to her phenomenal performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, actress Alia Bhatt has been in the news because of her rumored wedding plans with beau Ranbir Kapoor . Fans have been waiting for updates since a very long time and many reports have been doing the rounds. But the love birds are hell bent on keeping their private life personal, which is fair. Just recently on being asked when she will get married to her boyfriend, Alia replied, “Nahi batana hai yaar (I don't want to say).”

Well, a month ago buzz suggested that Alia and Ranbir will take the plunge in April this year at their favorite holiday destination, Ranthambore. However, the latest report shared by ETimes has now revealed that the couple may tie the knot later this year, in October . A source was quoted saying, “One really does not know why the dates are going back and forth when it comes to Alia and Ranbir getting married. As for the renovation of Krishna Raj in Mumbai's Pali Hill - their abode - it is far from ready; it might take at least 18 months more from today for it to be ready in all respects for one to move in and settle down.”

Meanwhile on the work front, Alia and Ranbir’s much awaited film Brahmāstra , which has been helmed by Ayan Mukerji , will arrive in theatres on 9th September. The superhero film marks their first movie together and also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. Bollywood’s king Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a special appearance in this project, which is backed by Karan Johar .
