Amber Heard confirms Warner Bros. 'didn't want to include' her in Aquaman 2

Amber Heard who plays Mira in DC's Aquaman films has confirmed during the ongoing defamation trail against ex husband Jhonny Depp that Warner Bros. Studio didn't want her to be a part of the sequel.

According to the actress, the studio did not want her to return for the sequel stating the lack of chemistry between her and her co-star Jason Mamoa, the actress said she had to really fight for her role.

Before the trial began the studio was quiet regarding her involvement in the movie, while director James Wan did confirm that she would be a part of the movie.

However, there were reports that actor Jason Mamoa did not want to work with the actress and wanted her removed from the project. Recently many took Mamoa following Johny Depp on Instagram as a sign that the actor had chosen to support Depp.

During the trial, the actress was asked about her role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom she said "They didn't want to include me in the film" adding that she now has "A very pared-down version of that role."

"I was given a script," she continued, "Then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it, that depicted my character and another character, without giving any spoilers away. Two characters fighting with one another. They basically took a bunch out of my role. They just removed a bunch."

With this recent revelation from Heard and the huge push by fans to have her replaced from the movie, it won't be a stretch to believe that she will not be making an appearance in Aquaman 3 or any Warner Bros. project even if the case goes in her favor.

Aquaman 2 is currently in post-production, the movie was set to release in 2022 but was pushed to 2023 with the movie streaming on HBO Max 45 days after its theatrical release

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will hit theaters on March 17, 2023.
