Reportedly, Nawazuddin's lawyer Sunil Kumar has filed a case accusing both Aaliya and Shamas of defamation and sought a written public apology from them.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui has filed a defamation suit days after breaking his silence on a row with his estranged wife Aaliya. As per the latest reports, the actor has sought Rs 100 crore as damages for the defamation and harassment he faced amid their ongoing legal matters. He has also submitted a request in court to permanently restrain Aaliya and his brother Shamas from defaming the actor.
Reportedly, Nawazuddin's lawyer Sunil Kumar has filed a case accusing both Aaliya and Shamas of defamation and sought a written public apology from them. The actor has alleged that his brother cheated him and also instigated Aaliya to file against him. In the suit, the actor also claimed that his wife used Rs 10 lakh per month and Rs 2.5 crore for her personal enjoyment instead of using it for children’s education and starting a production house.
Further, Nawazuddin reportedly alleged that the defamatory and inappropriate videos and posts made by Shamas and Aaliya has affected her career. His upcoming movies have been postponed and even he couldn’t attend social events because of those controversial videos and posts. For those unversed, Aaliya had accused the actor of throwing her and the kids out of his house. She has been sharing videos alleging that he and his mother mistreated her, adding that she has been struggling financially.
It was earlier this month that Nawazuddin opened up about his ongoing dispute in a long post on Instagram, and explained how things are played out against him and he is being called a bad guy everywhere. Meanwhile, workwise, Nawazuddin will next be seen in Kangana Ranaut’s production venture, Tiku Weds Sheru alongside Avneet Kaur. Besides it, he also has several interesting projects including Afwaah, Jogira Sa Ra Ra, Haddi, and Noorani Chehra among others in the pipeline.
