Adorable couple Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol are now parents as they welcomed their son Veer in 2020. Recently, the couple opened up about their pregnancy struggles and how they embraced parenthood on their YouTube channel, Couple of Things.

In a video shared on the social platform, the couple revealed that it took four long years to get pregnant. In an attempt to become parents, they tried many methods including surrogacy, IUI, IVF, Ayurveda, and homeopathy. The video began with Amrita speaking about her pregnancy struggles that they were going in and out of their gynecologist’s clinic for treatments. The doctor advised them to go for IUI, however, it was not successful.

Later the couple went for surrogacy. Anmol said that it was a big decision for them hence they took time to think. While Amrita said that she was like its okay if she need not have to get pregnant. “But there were many factors that the baby will get a lot of qualities of that surrogate mother and not what the original mother can give to the baby," she added.

Further, the couple recalled their excitement when they first felt their baby’s heartbeat in the surrogate mother’s womb. Sadly, they were informed that the baby was no more. While Anmol said it still breaks his heart whenever he recalls that moment, Amrita felt that aspiring parents need not be so emotional as it is not in their hands.

Even then the couple kept on trying. They went for IVF but that also did not work for them. After that, they were suggested to visit an ayurvedic doctor. But the medicines did not suit Amrita’s body as they caused her skin rashes. Eventually, the couple got the good news after returning from their Thailand vacation.

In March 2020, Amrita got pregnant and in November, she gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, Veer.
