Ananya Panday's adorable wish for 'ultimate queen' Rekha on her 68th birthday will melt your heart

October 10 marks the birthday of Bollywood’s ageless beauty Rekha . The actress turned 68 this year and wishes poured in from all quarters. However, the most adorable one came from GenZ star Ananya Panday who shared a childhood photo of herself with the veteran actor.

Taking to her Instagram story, the Khaali Peeli actress posted a collage of two photos with Rekha. The first picture shows baby Ananya resting in the arms of Rekha. While little Ananya wore a blue top, Rekha looked pretty in a formal suit. The second picture has Rekha placing her hand on young Ananya’s shoulder as they both smiled at the camera. In the picture, Rekha wore a pink saree and Ananya sported a black dress. Alongside the photo, Ananya wrote, “Then and now – forever a fan girl. Happy birthday to the ultimate queen Rekha ji." Rekha stepped into the entertainment industry with the Telugu film, Rangula Ratnam. Her Bollywood debut film was Sawan Badhon co-starring Navin Nischol and Shyama. Since then she has been part of several critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies. Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Khubsoorat, Shashi Kapoor’s Utsav, Suhaag, Muqaddar ka Sikandar, and Do Anjaane are some of her movies. It is reported that she will be making her comeback with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming web series Heera Mandi.

Meanwhile, Ananya was last seen in Liger alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film was made on a big budget but failed to impress the audience and hence tanked at the box office. She will next be seen in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gaurav. Directed by Arjun Varain Singh, the film is a digital age story of three friends. Besides it, she also has Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2, which is the sequel of the 2019 film of the same name.
