Ananya Panday's struggle is finally over as her dad Chunky Pandey makes it to Koffee With Karan 7

Remember when Ananya Panday had become an overnight sensation albeit for all the wrong reasons? Yes, we are talking about her infamous revelation about her dad Chunky Pandey not being invited to Koffee With Karan. The actress was brutally trolled for stating that her father had his own fair share of struggles as he didn’t appear on the chat show till now. Well, now it looks like Ananya will not have to worry about the same as Chunky finally got to be a part of KWK.

Yes, we are talking about the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 7 when during the quiz round, Ananya Panday’s mother Bhavana Pandey made a call to her dad Chunky Pandey. Chunky was also called by Maheep Kapoor for the ‘Hey, Karan it’s me’ round and the actor called back his wife Bhavana soon after that. The Housefull 2 actor joked that he thought there is some emergency after he was called by both Maheep and his wife simultaneously.

Before cutting the call, Bhavana Pandey makes sure to tell her husband that he has finally made it to Koffee With Karan. To this, Karan Johar also takes a subtle jibe at Siddhant Chaturvedi and says, “Siddhant Chaturvedi are you listening?” For the unversed, the Gully Boy actor had taken a dig at Ananya Panday after her statement saying, “Jahaan humaare sapne poore hote hai, waha inke struggle shuru hote hai.” These series of statements from Ananya and Siddhant sparked an explosive meme fest on social media.

Chunky Pandey in an interview with a well-known publication had later clarified his daughter Ananya Panday’s statement. He had said, “She didn’t say anything derogatory. What she meant to say on nepotism was if my father had to recommend someone, he’d recommend himself first. And it would be wrong to say she is an actor as her father is one, for then she wouldn’t have come up with anything exceptional. Whatever she has achieved is on her own talent.” Interestingly, Ananya and Siddhant Chaturvedi were seen together in Gehraiyaan and will also be seen sharing screen space in the film, Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan.
