The criticism hurled at Arjun Kapoor has gone a notch higher as a BJP minister has trained his guns at the actor over his statement on the boycott trend. The Ishaqzaade actor had recently spoken out against the ongoing boycott culture and stated that Bollywood should unite and do something about it. Well, his comments faced brutal trolling by netizens, and now it grabbed the attention of Madhya Pradesh’s minister Dr. Narottam Mishra.

The minister lambasted the actor saying that he should focus on acting rather than threatening the audience. During a press event, the minister called Arjun a ‘flop and frustrated actor’. He also shared his footage and tweeted, "Film actor #ArjunKapoor threatening the public is not a good thing. Instead of threatening the public, focus on your acting. Why do the supporters of Tukde Tukde Gang who target Hinduism in their films threaten the public on Boycott (sic)?"

You know you don't always need to get your hand dirty but I guess we tolerated it a lot and now people have made this a habit.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun was last seen in Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns co-starring Tara Sutaria, John Abraham, and Disha Patani. He is now gearing up for two other exciting projects –Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial debut Kuttey and The Lady Killer co-starring Bhumi Pednekar.
