Ayushmann Khurrana to have a face-off with Parineeti Chopra as Doctor G clashes with Code Name: Tiranga

Once shared screen space in the 2017 film Meri Pyaari Bindu, Ayushmann Khurrana , and Parineeti Chopra are all set to compete with each other. Actually, the two actors have their upcoming movies slated to release on the same date, i.e October 14. Yes, Parineeti’s espionage action thriller, Code Name: Tiranga is clashing with Ayushamann’s campus comedy-drama Doctor G .

On Monday, Parineeti shared the release date of her movie on Instagram with a poster in which she looked all bruised. The film also stars Hardy Sandhu in the lead role. “NATION. LOVE. SACRIFICE. #CodeNameTiranga releasing in cinemas on 14th October 2022,” she captioned the post. Talking about the film, the actress said that she is back again to present herself in a whole new avatar after Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Saina, and The Girl On the Train. It is my attempt to keep doing disruptive content as I have been and to push my limits to bring something new to the table for the audiences,” she told IANS.

Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the film is a story of a spy on an unfaltering and fearless mission for her nation in a race against time where sacrifice is her only choice. Parineeti will feature as a RAW agent who is on an exhilarating journey across many countries. Besides her and Hardy, the cast also includes Sharad Kelkar, Shishir Sharma, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Deesh Mariwala.

On the other hand, Ayushmann’s Doctor G is an upcoming comedy-drama in which the actor will be seen as a medical student who wants to be an orthopedic and ends up being a gynecologist. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah. Directed by debutant Anubhuti Kashyap, the film is produced by Junglee Pictures and marks the first collaboration of Ayushmann with Rakul.
