Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 vs Anek box office collections: Kartik Aaryan starrer is still a raging hit while Ayushmann Khurrana's film struggles

It is now inevitably clear that the Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is remaining untouched by Ayushmann Khurrana ’s Anek which was released into the theatres on May 27. The horror-comedy film is easily toppling the political-action drama just like it had vanquished Kangana Ranaut ’s Dhaakad at the box office. However, the IPL finale which took place last night (May 29) had impacted the night shows of both the films.

Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is continuing its dream run at the box office after entering the Rs 100 crore club right on its second week. Reportedly, the movie earned around Rs 12.50 to Rs 13.50 crore approximately on its 10th day. This has now led the total collections to stand at Rs 122 crore. The horror-comedy flick saw an occupancy rate of around 70% during the morning and afternoon shows on Sunday. However, the night shows were impacted a little bit due to the IPL finale. Nevertheless, it can be safely said that the movie is maintaining its brilliant pace at the box office and might enter the Rs 200 crore club soon if this favorable pace continues.

On the other hand, the same cannot be said about Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Anek. The movie has been struggling right since its first day at the box office. The movie saw a further dip on Sunday after only earning Rs 4 crore in totality on Saturday (May 28). The movie has reportedly only amassed Rs 1.95 crore to Rs 2.15 crore on its 10th day. The movie’s total collections now stand at only Rs 6.50 crore. If the movie does not perform better at the box office in the coming days, its lifetime collections would only come to Rs 15 crore. Even Anek’s night shows were heavily impacted by the IPL finale yesterday night.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has been directed by Anees Bazmee . The movie also stars Tabu , Kiara Advani , and Rajpal Yadav in the lead roles. While Anek has been directed by Anubhav Sinha and stars Andrea Kevichusa, Manoj Pahwa , and Kumud Mishra in the lead roles.
