Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson thanks fans for supporting the first trailer and says 'I can't thank you enough'

The trailer which dropped three days ago has over 16 million views on Youtube and has received overwhelmingly positive responses from the fans.

The movie will introduce the antihero, Black Adam , into the DECU. Black Adam was a former slave in the ancient city of Kahndaq and was chosen by the wizard Shazam to be his champion.

But when he used his powers for revenge against his former masters and took over the rule of the city Shazam imprisoned him for five thousand years.

According to the actor, the movie took over ten years to come to fruition.

The movie is set to change up the power structure of the DCEU, while Dwyane Johnson wanted to set up an eventual clash with Henry Cavill's Superman this did not pan out.

Instead according to rumors Black Adam may face off against Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman instead.

But fans are more interested in seeing Zachary Levi's Shazam take on the anti-hero after all they are arch enemies in the comics and both received their powers from the wizard Shazam.

And with Shazam: Fury of the Gods set to hit the theaters just two months after Black Adam, there is a strong possibility we will see the two of them share the big screen.

The movie will also introduce the Justice Society of America (JSA). A group of superhero heroes similar to the Justice League. Its members include Hwakeman, Cyclone Dr. Fate, and Atom Smasher.

From the trailer, it is clear that Black Adam and the JSA share a tense relationship, mainly due to their problems with the way Adam deals with criminals.

Black Adam will hit the screen on October 21, 2022.
