Producer Boney Kapoor was cheated by an unknown person who carried out transactions by fraud by his credit card worth Rs 3.82 lakh. The Mumbai Police on Friday (May 27) revealed that a representative close to Kapoor has filed a police complaint against the fraudster. The complaint was filed on Wednesday (May 25) against the accused at the Amboli Police Station under provisions of the Information Technology Act and IPC.

According to a news report on India.com, the police authorities said, “The unidentified person has used the credit card to carry out five online transactions on February 9 by obtaining Kapoor’s details and password.” Boney Kapoor found out about the crime when his bank executive called him up for the credit card bill payment on March 30. The police authorities further said that the investigations are underway to catch the main culprit.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Boney Kapoor is all set to produce ambitious projects like Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan and the Tamil movie Veetla Vishesham. Like his daughter Janhvi Kapoor and son Arjun Kapoor, his youngest daughter Khushi Kapoor is also set to make her acting debut in Bollywood with the Zoya Akhtar directorial The Archies. The producer recently spoke about the same with Etimes.

Boney Kapoor said, “Kids don’t come out with their true ambitions right from the start. They start by saying, 'I want to do modeling and other things. They keep getting diverted from their main ambition. Finally, when they cross the age of 19-20, the thought that they want to act develops firmly in their mind. Who doesn’t like glamour? Who doesn’t like getting attention? Everyone in the world likes it whether it is in the entertainment field, academic field, or sports world." Kapoor further added that the Netflix movie is a dream project for his daughter Khushi and the other cast members.
