Boney Kapoor confirms Khushi Kapoor is making her Bollywood debut, reveals she will begin shoot in April

Producer Boney Kapoor has confirmed that his youngest daughter Khushi kapoor is all set to make her Bollywood debut soon. Khushi’s acting debut has been speculated for a few years now and the most recent rumours have been that the starlet will debut in Zoya Akhtar ’s adaptation of The Archies . The project is also said to mark the debut of Amitabh Bachchan ’s grandson Agastya Nanda and Shah Rukh Khan ’s daughter Suhana Khan.

Boney spoke about Khushi’s interest in acting and confirmed that she will be following in her mother Sridevi and sister Janhvi Kapoor ’s footsteps and making her debut in Bollywood soon.

The producer was asked to comment on the reports of her debut with The Archies and he told India Today, “She (Khushi) will start shooting for her film in April. Can't tell you more, you will know more about it soon."

The producer spoke about giving his inputs to his kids about what films they should be doing but they take their own decisions when it comes to deciding which projects to sign.

Khushi was spotted taking a meeting with Zoya and Agastya last year which only fueled the rumours of her debut in Zoya’s film. The filmmaker was recently also spotted recently post a meeting with Agastya and Suhana.

It has further been speculated that while Agastya plays Archies in the film, Suhana will be Betty and Khushi plays Veronica.

Zoya had described the project as a coming-of-age musical drama when she announced the project on social media last year. The film will be a ‘desi’ adaptation of The Archies comics and will release on Netflix .

Khushi and Shuana are already popular on social media and have several thousand followers hanging on to their every post. Hopefully an announcement about her debut together follows soon.
