Aishwarya along with her daughter Aaradhya were well-received in Cannes as they reached French Riviera on Wednesday. A video surfaced on the internet showed the mother-and-daughter duo being presented a flower bouquet during their arrival. Aishwarya sported a black oversized long coat paired with a black top and a pair of trousers. Aaradhya, on the other hand, looked pretty in a denim jacket and matching trousers.

For the unversed Aishwarya has been a constant at the Cannes since 2002. She has sizzled on the red carpet in several iconic dresses designed by popular designers including Elie Saab, Sabyasachi, Michael Cinco and Roberto Cavalli among others, over the years. This year, Sara Ali Khan, Manushi Chhillar, Mrunal Thakur, and Esha Gupta made their debut at Cannes. Anushka Sharma’s debut appearance is much awaited.

Meanwhile, workwise, Aishwarya was recently seen in the second part of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. The film is an adaptation of author Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 Tamil novel of the same name. Besides her, the film also has Karthi, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Lekshmi in pivotal roles. The film amassed Rs 300 crore at the worldwide box office.
