Chunky on Ananya Panday being trolled for sheer outfit: “If her dad doesn’t mind, I don’t think anyone else should”

Actress Ananya Panday has grown not only as an actor but also an individual in the last three years of her Bollywood career. She is making unique choices which define her-- may it be her films, social media posts or outfits. The actress is not shying away from expressing herself, and is not afraid to stand out in a crowd. Well, recently Ananya arrived in style at Dharma Productions CEO Apoorva Mehta's birthday bash in Mumbai. She looked gorgeous in a sheer black gown, but there were many who trolled her for her choice of attire.

While some wanted to give Ananya the ‘worst dressed’ award, others trolled her by comparing the gown to a swimming costume. Well, the star kid’s actor father Chunky Panday opened up about the same in a chat with Hindustan Times. He was quoted saying, “We, as parents, have never told her what to wear and what not to. We brought up both of our daughters quite well and they are very sensible. Ananya is in the show business today, and she needs to look glamorous. She should put her best foot forward and dress up.”

The Houseful star further stated that his daughters have an innocence in them, so he is sure that no matter what they wear they can carry it off without looking ‘vulgar’. Chunky went on to add, “Getting laughed at for what you’re wearing is very common. We should take these things as a compliment. And if her dad doesn’t mind, then I don’t think anyone else should mind.” The actor shared that Ananya has learnt to laugh at herself.
