Dabangg 4: Salman Khan to rope in Tigmanshu Dhulia to direct the film?

The fourth installment of Salman Khan ’s Dabangg franchise has been in the buzz ever since its inception. While it was earlier reported that ace director Tigmanshu Dhulia is writing the project, the latest development suggests that Salman is also keen for Dhulia to helm the same. Yes, you heard that right! If all goes well, Tigmanshu might also end up directing the cop drama.

According to a news report in The Times Of India, Salman Khan had earlier revealed that he plans to announce Dabangg 4 by the end of this year. There were also reports of how the superstar is pleased with how Tigmanshu Dhulia is writing and developing the script of the movie. The report furthermore mentioned that there is a high possibility that Salman could rope in the director to take on the reigns of the project.

A source close to the development also revealed to the publication, “It is true that Tigmanshu Dhulia is writing the script and he may direct it as well.” Dhulia has earlier helmed impressive projects like the late Irrfan Khan starrer Paan Singh Tomar and the hit Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster franchise. Hence, we have a lot to look forward to if he turns out to direct Salman Khan’s Dabangg 4.

For the unversed, the first film of the franchise that was released in 2010 turned out to be a blockbuster and had two more sequels follow its path in the year 2012 and 2019 respectively. However, the third movie of the franchise that was helmed by Prabhudeva failed to do wonders at the box office. Hence, it seems that Salman Khan is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Dabangg 4 only delivers the best to the masses.

The Dabangg franchise features Salman Khan as a badass and free-spirited cop, Chulbul Pandey. Sonakshi Sinha plays his love interest in the franchise. The first two films were directed by Abhinav Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan respectively.
