Ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as the heads of DC Studio fans have been speculating on what the future of the DCEU has in store.

James Gunn who is very active on Twitter has been answering a few questions as well as teasing what fans can expect, this latest tweet with the caption "making plans," has many wondering if there are plans for another Justice League movie.

The reason for this is the image we choose to share with the Tweet. An iconic scene from the critically acclaimed 1996 comic book series Kingdom Come written by Mark Waid and Alex Ross.

Add in the fact that Dwayne Johson had expressed interest in making a live-action adaption of the series during the promotion of Black Adam, this could be DC's next big project.

The story of the Kingdom Come series is considered by many to be one of the best Justice League story arcs ever made, the story is set in a different timeline where Superman and the reaming members of the Justice League retire in order to let a new generation of heroes take over.

However, as time goes on the new generation of heroes becomes more violent and reckless forcing Superman to come out of retirement and reform the Justice League in order to stop them.

It will be wonderful to see this storyline adapted into a movie but DC fans remember what the production of the last Justice League was like and how it turned out to be a disaster at the box office.

Which lead to the studio reluctantly allowing its original director Zack Snyder to return and make the movie the movie according to his original vision.

Now this time around DC Studio is in much better hands and hopefully won't suffer the same fate, whether or not this ends up being DC's next big project remains to be seen.
