Deepika Padukone gets trolled for promoting Gehraiyaan wearing a bodysuit: "Yeh bikini ka full version hai kya"

Deepika Padukone ’s fashion outings during Gehraiyaan promotions have been the talk to the town. Like the audacious theme of the movie, Deepika has been setting new fashion goals with the recent promotional outings while also being on the receiving end of some flak for it.

The actress was once again trolled as she stepped out wearing a bodysuit top with a pair of denims at an event in Mumbai alongside Gehraiyaan co-stars Dhairya Karwa , Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. While Deepika extruded confidence in the attire, netizens jumped in as fashion police not too pleased with her choice of sporting a bodysuit.

Sharing their two cents on Deepika’s casual outing many dropped comments trolling her for wearing a ‘swimsuit’ for promotions. Some even commented saying her husband Ranveer Singh ’s fashion sensibilities have rubbed off on the actress.

Deepika’s has often made headlines for her fashion choices and earlier in this month landed in a war of words with a popular social media influencer, Freddy Birdy who had allegedly taken as dig at her bold promotional outfits and written in an Instagram story, "The clothes will get tinier as the Gehraiyaan release date approaches."

The Gehraiyaan star didn’t shy away from reacting to these comments with an indirect jibe of her own as she wrote, “Scientists say the universe is made of protons, neutrons, and electrons. They forgot to mention morons."

Deepika’s movie Gehriyaan deals with complex emotions one goes through in relationships and focuses on the lives of two cousins and their partners. Deepika’s character Alisha can be seen in an unhappy relationship and ends up having an affair with her cousin’s fiancé Zain. The movie directed by Shakun Batra arrives on Aamzon prime Video on Friday, 11 February.
