Deepika Padukone performs Ghoomar at Cannes, Pooja Hegde, Urvashi Rautela, Tamannaah Bhatia join
Deepika Padukone is attending the prestigious Cannes Film Festival as one of the jury members.
Actor Deepika Padukone is currently making headlines for her majestic looks at the prestigious Cannes film festival. In a recent development, the actress performed ‘Ghoomar’ as the folk singer Mame Khan sang at the inauguration of the India Pavilion at the Cannes. She was joined by Tamannaah Bhatia, Pooja Hegde , and Urvashi Rautela .
In a video shared by news agency ANI, Deepika looked gorgeous as she performed Ghoomar in a black colored pantsuit. In the short clip shared directly from Cannes, Mame can be seen asking Padmaavat actress to perform as he sings, after which she gracefully danced along with Tamannaah, Pooja, and Urvashi. This time of the year, Deepika is attending the film festival as part of the jury members along with Rebecca Hall, Noomi Rapace, Jasmine Trinca, Asghar Farhadi, Ladj Ly, Jeff Nichols, Joachim Trier, and Vincent Lindon (jury President). Also, India has been named the 'country of honour' for 'Marche du Film' and the Indian contingent is led by Anurag Thakur, the Information and Broadcasting Minister. Tamannaah, Pooja with Nawazuddin Siddiqui , AR Rahman, Ricky Kej, Prasoon Joshi, and R Madhavan are part of the delegation.
On the other hand, Mame, a folk singer from Rajasthan, has made history by becoming the first folk artiste to open the red carpet for an Indian contingent at Cannes.
Coming back to Deepika, the actress has been treating fans with her gorgeous looks at Cannes. On the opening day of the film festival, she walked the red carpet in a Sabyasachi saree. She paired it with a tube sequined black coloured blouse and completed her look with a dramatic winged eyeliner.
