Ever since the Kannada film Kantara has released, it has been hitting the headline for every right reason. For its outstanding screenplay and acting, the movie has emerged to be one of the standout films of 2022. Not only audiences but critics have hailed it as the ‘masterpiece’. Well, the man behind the art, director-actor Rishab Shetty has given his heart and soul to the movie as he sustained some major injuries during the filming. He recently revealed that while shooting a pre-climax action sequence between himself and a guy named Madhavachari, he dislocated his shoulders.

In a recent interview, Rishab said, “In the pre-climax of the film, there is an action sequence of mine at night with a guy named Madhavachari, at that time we used to rehearse from afternoon till evening. For that pre-climax fight, we used a single shot or 360-degree shot at night with rain effects. It was very hard to bring water to that location. We asked the nearby villagers if we could draw water from a nearby well for those 6-7 days of the shoot. By the time we were done shooting, the well was empty as well.”

He further added that despite the injuries, he continued with the shoot. “It was very hectic to shoot throughout the night with rain effect and we shot something like this after many years. A lot of technicians were present on set as well. While rehearsing for the pre-climax, I began having issues with my shoulder. During a 360-degree shot, I dislocated one shoulder. On the very next day, I dislocated my other shoulder as well during shooting. Both my shoulders were dislocated but I continued with the shoot,” he added.
