Ditching Koffee With Karan, Twinkle Khanna pitches Tea With Twinkle, fans eagerly await announcement

Mrs. Funnybones aka Twinkle Khanna has once again taken a funny dig at Karan Johar ’s chat show Koffee with Karan. The actress in her recent Instagram post said she can’t shoot for the filmmaker’s show again. Instead, she pitched her own chat show, Tea with Twinkle which left fans excited for the official announcement.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Twinkle posted a monochrome photo of herself wherein she can be seen sipping tea with her hail tied in rolling pins. In the caption, she wrote, “Just rolling with it. On a set I am prone to mumbling, ‘Shoot me now,’ though I secretly mean with a Nerf gun and not a camera, but then there are days like these when it’s all fun and games. Hmm.. Can’t do Koffee with Karan again but Tea with Twinkle may not be a bad idea after all:) #behindthescenes #shootmenow.”

Soon after her post surfaced online, her fans flooded the comment section requesting her to actually come up with her own chat show. While one user wrote, “we want #Teawithtwinkle badly”, another added, “Tea with Twinkle actually sounds like a fab show”. The others recommended her to the chat show and wrote, “Yes yes pls, unlike coffee with Karan, tea with twinkle will definitely have mugs full of sarcasm, knowledge, humour and lesss less way more less gossip.”

Recently, Twinkle Khanna made an announcement about her short story Salaam Noni Appa from her book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad to be adapted into a film. Directed by Sonal Dabral, the upcoming film will be bankrolled by Twinkle’s Mrs. Funnybones Movies in collaboration with Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar has also recently announced the new season of his infamous chat show, Koffee with Karan. As per reports, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt , Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan , Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor among others are on the guest lists for the upcoming season 7 of the show.
