Television actress Drashti Dhami and her husband Niraj Khemka are over the moon as they are expecting their first child. Announcing the news of their first pregnancy, the couple took to social media to share a funny video that included their friends and family.

Taking to Instagram, Niraj and Drashti shared a video announcing the news of their pregnancy. The video begins with the couple holding a poster that says, “Could be pink, could be blue, all we know is that we are due. October 2024.”

While the couple stands still, holding wine glasses in their hands, members of their family come into the frame and release balloons. Sarcastically, at the end of the video, two women replace the wine glasses with baby milk bottles to mark the transition in their lives.

The couple captioned the video, “In a galaxy not so far away, a tiny rebel is joining our crazy tribe. Please send love, blessings, cash & french fries our way. #BabyKOnBoard”

Revealing that the couple is expecting the delivery of the child in October this year, the couple wrote, “We can’t wait for October 2024!”

Industry friends shower blessings

Their friends and colleagues from the industry showered blessings on the couple. Actress Rubina Dilaik wrote, “Available anytime for all new mommy stuff,” while Kubbra Sait wrote, Hahahahahahhahahaha WOWW! CONGRATES MY BABE AND HER BABA… for the BABY! WOAH! Seee it all worked out right here in the comment even!”

Mouni Roy wrote, “Yayyyyyyyyy. Heartiest congratulations to both of you. Can’t wait to meet the lil angel.” While actor Vikrant Massey wrote, “Bahut bahut shubhkamnaen aap dono ko.”

The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2015. Nine years later, they are expecting their first child.

On the work front, Drashti was last seen in the web series Duranga alongside Gulshan Devaiah. She has also featured in television shows such as Dil Mill Gayye, Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi, Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.
