    The talented actress Tara Sutaria is all set to make her Bollywood playback singing debut with her upcoming mystery thriller Ek Villain Returns . Director Mohit Suri confirmed that the actress besides acting has also sung songs for the film.

    The much-awaited trailer of the film was unveiled on Thursday in presence of a stellar star cast including John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor , Disha Patani , and Tara Sutaria. During the trailer launch, Mohit said, “Tara is actually singing for the film also. She is a great singer. I was like wow this is double whammy.” To note, Tara began her career in the entertainment industry as a singer with Disney India's Big Bada Boom.

    In the upcoming movie, Tara is playing the role of a rockstar and is paired withh Arjun Kapoor. Speaking about the preparations she underwent for her character, she said "I did not know Arjun that well when we started shooting for 'Ek Villain Returns'. But as soon as we met on the first day, we were like a house on fire, and we not knowing each other personally actually helped us, as in the first half of the film, we are hating each other." Talking about her playback singing debut, she said, "I actually had to work more on my singing, as I'll be marking my playback singing debut with Ek Villain Returns. I did have some music prep but I won’t speak much about that because woh aapko baad mein pata chalega (because you will know it later).”

    The trailer of the dark thriller also gave a glimpse of the characters played by John, Arjun, and Disha. The upcoming film is a standalone sequel to the 2014 thriller Ek Villain that featured Sidharth Malhotra , Shraddha Kapoor , and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead. Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Bhushan Kumar , it is slated to release in theatres on July 29.
