Elizabeth Olsen says she enjoyed Wanda's confidence in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Wanda was first introduced into the MCU in the 2015 movie Avengers: Age of Ultron and went on to play a big role in movies like Captain America: Civil War , Avengers Infinity War, and End Game and ended up getting her own spin-off series on Disney + 'WandaVision'.

In Doctor Strange 2 Wanda's journey picks up where the show left off as she embraces her alter ego the Scarlet Witch which leads her to a confrontation with Doctor Strange in the movie.

The sequel directed by Sam Raimi hit the big screen this Friday and has been a massive success earning over 450 million worldwide

The latest version of Wanda seen in the movie is perhaps her most confident portrayal on the big screen since her introduction throughout her story arc in the MCU, Wanda has often struggled with her powers and the loss of her brother during the battle against Ultron.

Elizabeth Olsen 's performance in the movie has earned her praise from fans and critics alike, and anyone who has seen the movie cannot deny her show-stealing performance.

In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, the actress spoke about her role as well as how she enjoyed playing this more confident version of Wanda

“It was so fun for me because all these years I’ve been playing a character who is struggling; now, she has clarity for the first time – she knows exactly what she wants, and she doesn’t want to apologize for it. I think there’s a womanliness that comes with that: a strength in feeling completely entitled.”

The events of Doctor Strange 2 do leave the door open for the character to return in future MCU projects as well as the actress herself clarifying that she will be back but isn't sure when

Doctor Strange 2 is directed by Sam Raimi and stars Benedict Cumberbatch , Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams in the lead roles
