Exclusive- Bhumi Pednekar on her bond with Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao: ‘They are such wonderful boys’

The gorgeous and supremely talented Bhumi Pednekar began her journey in Bollywood as an actor 7 years ago with Dum Laga Ke Haisha opposite Ayushmann Khurrana , fondly known as the king of content cinema. Well, in her latest release Badhaai Do , Bhumi won us over yet again with her performance as well as on-screen camaraderie with another actor known for his path-breaking performances-- Rajkummar Rao. Bhumi shares a special friendship with both her co-stars and recently in an exclusive interview with Desimartini, the actress opened up about their similarities.

Bhumi shared, “You know everybody knows Ayushmann holds a very special place in my heart cause he’s my first hero, I’ve done the most number of films with him. He’s just a great person and a great co-star, and you know, likewise with Raj (Rajkummar). With Raj I have found a very special friendship, you know, a friendship that goes beyond our professional relationship cause you know for the first time I’ve been cast opposite a male actor but I’m not romancing him. You know, we are best friends in the film, we are companions, we have a Tom and Jerry, Jai-Veeru kind of a relationship that kind of transfers into our real life as well.”

She went on to add that Ayushmann will be special for her entire life. Bhumi shared, “He has been such a huge support in my career. I respect him so much for his growth and the fact that he’s still so grounded and just as beautiful as he was as a person. Same with Raj. I feel like you know just them as two individuals are so secure, you know they are so respectable, they are so morally right, and ethical and you know, they are just such wonderful boys.”

Well, Bhumi, Rajkummar and Ayushmann are three of the finest actors of the Hindi film industry at the moment. We can’t wait to see how they wow us again when they shine on-screen next!
