Sunil Dutt death anniversary: Former child actor Master Rinku recalls how the legendary actor helped his relative with cancer treatment - Exclusive

    Film director and content creator Rahul Singh who was known as the renowned child artist ‘Master Rinku’ in some of his critically acclaimed and successful films had worked with the legendary actor-politician Sunil Dutt in the movie Kala Dhandah Goray Log (1986). On the actor’s death anniversary today (May 25), Rahul Singh exclusively reveals to Desimartini his fond memories with Sunil Dutt and shares some anecdotes around the same.

    Film director and content creator Rahul Singh who was known as the renowned child artist ‘Master Rinku’ in some of his critically acclaimed and successful films had worked with the legendary actor-politician Sunil Dutt in the movie Kala Dhandah Goray Log (1986). On the actor’s death anniversary today (May 25), Rahul Singh exclusively reveals to Desimartini his fond memories with Sunil Dutt and shares some anecdotes around the same. The former child artist also shared with us an exclusive picture of his with Dutt Saab on the sets of their film.

    Talking to us about the same, Rahul Singh said, “I played his son in the movie Kala Dhandah Goray Log directed by Sanjay khan featuring Amrita Singh, Akbar Khan, Anupam Kher, and Shammi Kapoor sir did a guest appearance. My experience with sir was there was one scene when Sunil Dutt is in jail. And kids are allowed to meet. In this scene, Sunil sir cried in real. Without using any glycerine. By the end of the shot even I cried seeing Sunil sir crying.     Furthermore, Rahul Singh also recalled Sunil Dutt helping one of his relatives from a small town to get admitted into a hospital for cancer treatment. Elaborating on the same, Rahul said, “I remember after some years I met Sir. He helped one of our relatives from a small town by writing a letter to get admission to Mumbai hospital to do a cancer treatment and that too in very less money. Later I met sir in the trial of Adharm (1992) movie in which I played young Sanjay Dutt . He gave me a lot of blessings and remembered me by my name and told me to stop working and concentrate on studying and get a degree.”

    Sunil Dutt is known for his cult movies like Sadhna, Mother India , Sujata, Hum Hindustani, Aaj Aur Kal, Mera Saaya, Padosan, and many more. The actor was also the recipient of the Padma Shri Award in the year 1968. He had served as the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports between 2004 and 2005.
