'Eye bleach moment ho gya': Varun Dhawan and Nora Fatehi's dance performance on Garmi at IIFA 2023 triggers trolls

    A video of Varun grooving with his Street Dancer 3D co-star Nora Fatehi at the IIFA 2023 has been criticised by a section of netizens for being too cringe.

    The International Indian Film Academy Awards, popularly known as IIFA, was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Dhawan, among others set the stage on fire with their electrifying performances. The photos and videos of the same are doing rounds on the internet. Among them, a video of Varun grooving with his Street Dancer 3D co-star Nora Fatehi has caught the netizens’ attention.

    In the clip, Varun and Nora are seen dancing to Say Garmi Garmi, a mashup of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham song Say Shava Shava clubbed with their song Garmi from Street Dancer 3D. Reacting to the clip, one of the users criticised saying, "Who the hell thought this was a good idea? Who approved it? How did it pass all those stages of quality control and manage to reach the stage and now, our eyes? I need to speak to the manager. A manager. ANYONE!!!". The second user wrote, “Ye kya dekh liya. Eye bleach moment ho gya ye toh. Bhai itna cringe” The third user wondered, “Who thought this will be a good idea?” Watch the video here:

    The prestigious award event also witnessed some fun moments as well. Vicky Kaushal matched the steps with Hrithik Roshan on Kaho Naa Pyar Hai songs. He tripped while dancing to his wife Katrina Kaif's song Sheila Ki Jawani with drama queen Rakhi Sawant. The event also saw Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt bagging Best Actor and Best Actress awards for their performance in Vikram Vedha and Gangubai Kathiawadi respectively. Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 won the Best Film Award and R Madhavan walked away with Best Director Award for Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.

    Coming back to Varun, the actor was last seen in horror-comedy Bhediya co-starring Kriti Sanon. He will next be seen in the Indian version of the Citadel series alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. He also has Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal in which he will be sharing the screen space with Janhvi Kapoor for the first time. On the other hand, Nora will be seen in Sajid Khan’s 100% next.
