Of late, singer Falguni Pathak has been reposting the fans’ remarks bashing singer Neha Kakkar ’s rendition of her song Maine Payal Hai Chhankai . The singer was suggested by several fans of her to take legal action for ruining her song but she couldn’t as she doesn't own the music rights. However, recently she opened up about her first reaction to her song released as ‘O Sajna’ and it is not at all pleasant.

In a recent interview with the Times of India, the Dandiya Queen stated that she actually felt pukish when she first heard Neha’s version of her song. "I got to know about the remixed version three-four days back. First reaction was not good. I was like, mujhe bas ulti aani baaki thi, aisa ho gaya tha," she said. She also said that the original 90s song has flavour of innocence that the remix is lacking. "My fans are taking action against the song. I am just sharing the stories. Why should I keep quiet when they are supporting me, main kaise chup baithun," she added.

Furthermore, Falguni clarified that she is not averse to the idea of remixes and recreations. She advised the younger generation of musicians remixing a song to be passionate about the music and should not make it ‘cheap’.Earlier, the singer revealed that neither Neha nor anybody else from the team of the new song contacted her about ‘O Sajna’ which was released earlier this week.

Meanwhile, the original song, Maine Payal Hai Chhankai, was released in 1999 under the banner of the T-series. The music video showed a puppet show in a college fest and became a cult hit. Whereas the new 'O Sajna' features Priyank Sharma and Dhanashree Verma alongside Neha. Tanishk Bagchi produced the music for the song, while Jaani wrote the lyrics.
