Hansal Mehta ties the knot with Safeena Husain after 17 years and 2 children; says ‘love prevails over all else’

It’s always special when two people, who love each other, come together to tie the nuptial knot. Well, the latest star couple who took their relationship to the next level in an impromptu wedding is filmmaker Hansal Mehta and his long-time partner Safeena Husain.

The filmmaker and the social worker dated for 17 long years before saying ‘I Do’ and have two beautiful daughters together, named Kimaya and Rehana. In a heartwarming ceremony they got their marriage registered at the Taj Campton Place in San Francisco, United States . Along with adorable wedding pictures, Mehta penned a sweet caption which read: “So after 17 years, two children, watching our two sons grow up and chasing our respective dreams we decided to get hitched. As always in life this marriage was also impromptu and unplanned. Ultimately love prevails over all else. And it has…”

We wish them a happily ever after! Meanwhile on the work front, after giving us masterpieces like Chhalaang and Scam 1992 , Hansal is currently working on a Netflix series titled Scoop and his next and much awaited social drama Captain Indian, which will feature Kartik Aaryan as an air force officer.
