Today is January 26, the day when India celebrates its Republic Day. Right from the common man to the celebrities, one can see the wave of patriotism flowing across seamlessly. The social media was seen flooded with messages and wishes galore on this day.

Amongst the many Bollywood celebs who took to social media to share their wishes for Republic Day, there was the Bollywood superstar Varun Dhawan whop posted an extremely heartfelt post for this day.

The Gen-Next superstar that he is, Varun Dhawan’s post really seemed like him getting into the spirit of Republic Day! The pic that he had posted saw him standing on two war tankers and was also seen holding the prestigious Indian flag in his right hand. He then, went onto caption the post as, ‘On this Republic Day, let’s celebrate the strength of our unity. #JaiHind #1yeartoborder2’.

What is really interesting about this post was that, this pic (which seems to be from his upcoming film Border 2) possibly hints at the themes of patriotism and national pride, that could just form the central theme for the J P Dutta film

Added to that, the hashtag that Varun Dhawan had used in the post ‘#1yeartoborder2’, very creatively and cleverly highlights the fact that, the film will be releasing next year around the same time. In other words, this hashtag also serves as a reminder about the film Border 2’s release next year.

As for the film, besides Varun Dhawan, it also stars Sunny Deol and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles. While the film Border 2 is being directed by Kesari fame filmmaker Anurag Singh, this war drama is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.

Looking back, when Varun Dhawan had joined the cast of the film Border 2, he had taken to social media and shared the good news with all his fans and followers. He had posted, ‘I was just a kid in class four when I went to Chandan cinema and saw Border. And it made such a big impact. I still remember the sense of national pride we all felt in the hall.

I began looking up to our armed forces and to this day, I salute how they protect us and keep us safe be it on our borders or during natural calamities.

J P Dutta sir’s war epic remains one of my most favourite movies to this day.To play a part in Border 2 produced by J P sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very, very special moment in my career. And I get to work with Sunny Paaji my hero makes it all the more special.

I look forward to bring a valiant jawaan’s story to screen in what promises to be India’s biggest war film. I seek your good wishes Jai Hind’.
